Angel and Sprite

Angel sees Sprite An Angel hung from heaven just above the stormy sea he saw a Sprite sing from a branch of an elderly oak tree She sang a tune so lovely that he fell from heaven’s limb wanting to be part of her lonely moaning hymn oh Fairy, little Sprite I see tell me will you be mine? I heard your broken heart cry yes I heard your saddened whine Angel looked around her and saw the coming change he rescued her from the trees branch before the wind could maim The air was turning inside out the ground was heaving up the water stirred so heavy- the volcanoes would erupt The fire lept up from the ground, the water surged forth hard Sprite hung so frightened from her tree her escape became barred So Angel gave up heaven and he flew to save his Sprite He sheltered her between his wings and flew with all his might Who are you? she asked in breaths for now she couldn’t breathe the changes all around her

The Sense of the Sea

They glistened in the moonlight and shook with childish glee indicating to us that they wanted the good sea. He caught the rays of sunshine and he drank from heavy rain he withstood wind and thunder and made no sound of pain. A tree so sprung up from the ground and oh so quietly let me play on his strong limbs and stood there patiently. Laughing I swing from his branch as he stood so quietly taking in the steady rays standing so strong for me. Swinging. laughing I then run around so happily As he stood firm and beautiful Watching me be so free His season’s here his leaves so flush swaying slightly to the wind I gravitate so heavily   to the shade I’m in. I’ll never leave my tree I say and hug his sturdy limbs I love him, love him oh so much! My savior- it is him! How My Tree Reaches Standing in my room one night I think of my good tree. I look out
